Leading supplier of precision instruments and services METTLER TOLEDO is partnering with SGS, the world's leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company to present a joint webinar entitled "Designing effective food safety management programs for GFSI schemes". The October 27, 2011 webinar requires pre-registration and is free of charge.
Retailers, food manufacturers, foodservice companies, industry associations and governments all have one thing in common when it comes to food safety. They recognize that consumers' confidence dropped to an all time low after a number of public food crises scared consumers and the industry during the last couple of years. With consumer concerns on one side and expanding regulatory requirements on the other, food processors can find themselves caught in a web of media attention that saps employee morale and binds executive resources. Documenting manufacturing processes under uniform standards such as BRC, IFS, ISO 22000 and SQF 2000 can help put corporate focus back where it belongs - on production - by making processes as transparent and safe as possible.
This co-hosted webinar will address comparison between the major GFSI approved standards, how to design an effective food safety management program and some common certification obstacles. Participants will also discover how METTLER TOLEDO can support certification efforts in the areas of enhanced materials traceability, hygienic equipment design, quality data management, improved foreign body detection, appropriate equipment qualification & calibration and legal metrology - all of which target audit-proof processes and enhanced productivity.
"Designing effective food safety management programs for GFSI schemes" will be held twice:
